In the past, the Giang’s family - led by martial artist Giang Hai Long who was famous in the Chinese community in Ho Chi Minh City with the tradition of teaching martial arts, circus, and life-saving medicine. Master Giang Hai Long and his descendants performed together at many venues in the city. With the desire to protect the health of family members, martial artist Giang Hai Long has invented a heirloom remedy that was extracted from more than 18 special herbs especially for martial artists.

At that time, the martial master Giang Hai Long also support the Chinese community in District 5 to treat the injuries with his remedy. Since then, the reputation of master Giang Hai Long’s herbal recipe quickly spreaded, and Mr. Long has been affectionately known as Giang Hai Long Doctor. Besides, martial master Giang Hai Long has been also one of the famous characters mentioned in the massive photobook “Heart and Talents - Who They Are” by photographer Nguyen A (released in 2012).
